About myself.

     Let me explain about myself.  First, my name is Akihiko Nishiyama.  I have weird long name because I am Japanese.  So, you can call me Aki, A-Dog or whatever you can feel comfortable.  Actually, every Japanese symbol has meaning.  Therefore, my name also has some meaning.  My last name, Nishiyama, means “West Mountain”.  “Nishi” means west, and “Yama” means mountain.  Even I do not know why my last name means like that.  Actually, I am from west side of Japan.  So, I guess that my ancestors lived in Westside of Japan too.  Then, my first name, Akihiko, means “bright man”.  “Aki” means bright and “Hiko” means man.

     After that, I would like to explain about why I am in the United States to go to Chico State University.  I came to the US to learn other culture and to get University degree.  When I came to the US, I arrived at Sacramento to go to Community college to take GE classes.  Then, I transferred to CSU Chico.  Living in the US makes me to discover a lot of things that I have never experienced.  For example, when I was in Japan I took a bath everyday but I take a shower everyday now, and I take off shoes when I get in a house.  By the way, my living place in the US, finally, became inhibition of shoes on.  My American roommates also helped me to do that.  I can explain you more examples but I will show you later if you want.  Anyway, after I graduate CSU Chico, I will go back to Japan eventually to get job and to stay with my family.  I barely meet my family after I came to the US.  So, I want to spend my time with my family in Japan.
